Tura, April 7, 2024: In view of the General Elections to 2-Tura Parliamentary (ST) Constituency, the District Election Officer, West Garo Hills Tura has informed all the general public that interested private (local) vehicles preferably LMVs (Tata Sumo, Bolero (4×4), Bolero Camper, Scorpio, Gypsy (4×4), Ertiga, Xylo, Eco-Van, etc or any other 4×4 vehicle) along with the drivers will be requisitioned for election purposes.
Therefore, owners of vehicles requisitioned for election duties will be duly compensated and allowance for drivers shall be considered as per the Government of Meghalaya Notification issued earlier.
Willing vehicle owners may report their vehicles along with their drivers either at Transport Cell ISBT or at office of Deputy Commissioner, West Garo Hills, Tura or can contact Assistant Nodal Officer, Transport Cell at 7002434499 on or before 10th April, 2024.
